Made from high quality wines of the Quinta de Ervamoira by blending harvests of, on average, 10 different years. The new wines make it robust and fresh while the oldest wines give it complexity and lineage. Its characteristic aroma and palate are the result of the artistry achieved by our winemaker. This Port is orange-red in color with a touch of green. It has a well-rounded, generous aroma and the wine's fruit aromas include orange, apricot and plum. Vanilla and old Port wine casks make up its woody aromas. This is a fruity tawny variety. In the mouth, one can still taste the fresh fruit surrounded by the ageing in wood. There is good structure and perfect balance between fruit and alcohol. The attack on the palate is smooth and full-bodied. Following the initial oily feel, a fresh, soft fruitiness appears that finishes with a slightly acidic, woody note. This Port pairs well with conch salad with tomato and onion, and with desserts made with dried fruit and nuts, orange marmalade and eggs. Serve between 14o and 18o C. Store the bottle upright, in a cool, dry and dark place.

Lusciously spicy, with flavors that roll off the tongue, including butterscotch, dried apricot, spiced cherry and white pepper. The intensely creamy finish is filled with hazelnut and cocoa. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 1,000 cases imported.

The NV Quinta da Ervamoira Tawny RP 10 Year Old Port comes in at 106 grams per liter of residual sugar. This is the new 2015 bottling. Beautifully focused and balanced, this has fine mid-palate weight for the category and a complex medley of concentrated flavors on the finish. Quite gripping, it is beautifully done and rather impressive, while always remaining graceful and impeccably balanced. There is very respectable tension on the finish, too, that enlivens the wine. Taste this in isolation and you'll think my score is pretty stingy, but remember that there does need to be some headroom when we step up to the long-aged Tawny treasures. This may have been my favorite 10 Year Tawny this issue.

From the farthest reaches of the upper Douro, Quinta da Ervamoira has produced this sun-drenched wine, with great raisin flavors that vie with a fruity red-berry character. Both sweet from the dried fruits and dry from the intense acidity, with a light cocoa aftertaste, it is a balanced wine that can be drunk now.
