Luminous pale yellow. Sweet spices and white flowers dominate the lime, jasmine and powdered rock aromas and flavors. Hints of lemon curd and herbs add complexity on the long stony finish. A beautiful Etna Bianco that offers more depth but less freshness than the 2018 entry-level Etna Bianco; each will have its fans.

Here's a taste of Carricante in its youth and in its full primary glory. The 2018 Etna Bianco Pietrarizzo is not a lean wine, nor is it full-bodied. It's somewhere in between, with thick layers of peach, apricot and lots of fresh citrus. You get very distinct mineral notes such as crushed stone, flint and volcanic ash in this expression. This would be the perfect match for a grilled bluefish with lemon and thyme.
