The 2017 Chardonnay Sleepy Hollow Vineyard was barrel fermented and aged ten months in 40% new French oak. It's slow to open on the nose but, with time, gives scents of golden apples, honeycomb, crushed hazelnuts and opposing notes of crushed stone and citrus peel. Medium to full-bodied, lush, rounded and satiny textured, it's offering much more on the palate at this stage, lifted by mouthwatering freshness and finishing long and honeyed.

Pale gold. Aromas of peach nectar, Meyer lemon and honey take on a smoky mineral nuance with air. Broad and fleshy on entry and then tighter in the middle, offering sappy, spice-tinged citrus and orchard fruit flavors that are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Clings very nicely on the penetrating finish, which repeats the pear and fennel notes. This wine, which delivers surprising energy for its heft, saw 35% new French oak but doesn't really show it.

Lime balm, nectarine, mint and gardenia aromas combine on the nose of this bottling from the famed vineyard. The palate is bright, with orange peel and seared Meyer lemon flavors alongside warmer tones of toasted almond and butter that arise toward the finish.

Toasted grain notes accent the dried apple and peach flavors. Offers a supple, spicy finish. Drink now. 1,600 cases made.
