Aromas of café au lait and cocoa powder are followed by notes of freshly chopped herb and cherry. Big, bold but still in check fruit flavors follow, with plentiful spice accents throughout. Coffee notes linger on the long finish. It shows rare balance for a wine at this price.

Svelte and polished, with lively black cherry, espresso and toasty herb flavors that linger toward fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2027. 720 cases made.

Full red-ruby. Lively scents of blackberry, cassis, black cherry, licorice and bitter chooate, with a hint of violet lift. Juicy, firmly structured Cabernet with lovely concentration and a touch of sweetness to its cassis, licorice and mineral flavors. More tightly wound than the Lydian Merlot and showing less early sweetness, but still quite suave and fine-grained. Finishes firmly tannic but smooth, with subtle persistence and good violet lift. Serious Cabernet for 25 bucks.
