This wine of beautiful complexity, fat and voluptuous, also knows how to keep a sustained structure thanks to its pleasant liveliness. Pair with foie gras, lobster in sauce, poultry, white meats, truffles ...

A mouthwatering Pinot Gris, with exotic notes of papaya and grated coconut accenting the peach, anise and almond blossom flavors. Sleek acidity focuses this through to the spicy, mineral-tinged finish. Drink now through 2029. 1,500 cases imported.

Bright golden straw-yellow. Reticent exotic fruit notes of pineapple and mango on the nose, plus a higher-pitched pear element. Then sweet and dense but juicy and energetic, delivering very good lemony cut and sweet spice character. This is larger and sweeter than the 2015 Pinot Gris Reserve, and more elegant too, but still very youthful and closed right now. Finishes long and smooth with a smoky nuance at the back. Made from estate-grown grapes in the Osterberg, the Weinbaum ( which is the prolongation of the Osterberg) and a few other sites.

Partly sourced in the Osterberg Grand Cru (about 40%) and three other east-facing parcels next door, the 2015 Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle opens with a very clear, fine and fresh-even coolish-nose. Bottled with 19 grams of residual sugar, the attack on the palate is fresh and piquant. There is a firm tannin grip and piquant acidity to balance the lush and slightly sweet texture. This Pinot Réserve needs years to find its balance, and it is not easy to tax its real quality today when the components are still side by side rather than melded together.
