From a seven-acre vineyard, this wine is rich, balanced and fruity. It has an elegance and freshness reflecting the vintage. The wine, from 40-year-old vines, is packed with black fruits and ripe tannins. Drink from 2026.

Plummy nose with a touch of iron, spices and paprika. Juicy and bright on the palate with medium body, bright acidity and a brambly, tight finish. Fresh, fine-grained tannins. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. Drink or hold.

From an estate purchased by Ronan Laborde of Château Clinet, the 2021 Château Lecuyer is 90% Merlot and 5% each of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a lively, elegant, medium-bodied style to go with rock-solid complexity in its ripe black cherries, spring flowers, chocolate, and leafy tobacco notes. It's balanced, has ripe tannins, and a good finish.

Exhibiting rich aromas of cherries, sweet berries and plums, the 2021 Lécuyer is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and seamless, with powdery tannins and a nicely balanced profile. It's derived from gravel-rich clays on the plateau of Pomerol and belongs to Emeric Petit of Lalande-de-Pomerol's Château Tournefeuille.
Vinous

The 2021 L'Ecuyer has a light but pure, quite floral bouquet with red cherries and dark plum aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, moderate depth but there is a bit of dryness on the finish.
